THE BIO IT COALITION ANNOUNCES ITS 6TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE "THE STATE OF HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY IN 2020" ON APRIL 17, 2007
The BIO IT Coalition announces its 6th Annual Conference entitled "The State of Healthcare & Medical Technology in 2020" to be held on April 17, 2007 at the Carnegie Institution in Washington, DC. The conference will start at 7:30 with breakfast and registration and will provide lunch and cocktails to attendees as they hear speakers address and guide attendees towards the future.
The conference will address the following questions: What role will technology play in the future of biomedical products? How will bioscience companies create high quality medical products for diagnosing, predicting and preventing the diseases that plague us today? How will patients fare in the jungle of pharmaceutical products and decisions they will face?
William A. Haseltine, Ph.D., President, Haseltine Foundation for Medical Sciences and the Arts; Chairman, Haseltine Global Health, LLC; and founder of Human Genome Sciences, Inc. will present the Keynote Speech. The Capstone Speaker will be Eric Green, MD., Ph.D., Scientific Director, Division of Intramural Research, National Human Genome Research Institute, of National Institutes of Health.
Included in the conference will also be a morning and afternoon panel. The morning panel will feature John Holaday, Ph.D. as the moderator and the theme will be Healthcare: Trends, Gaps, Needs and New Tools. The afternoon panel will feature Eric Garland, author of "Future Inc.: How Businesses Can Anticipate and Profit From What's Next" as the moderator of At the Edge of Transformation: The Strategic Context of Healthcare and Medicine in 2020.
