  1. How do I become a member?

  2. When are your meetings and what do I need to do to attend?
    The Coalition holds monthly, content rich meetings, usually on the third Wednesday of the month at 11:30 to 1:30pm. These luncheon meetings are attended by industry members. The meetings feature a presentation by an expert in an aspect of the BIO IT industry and time to network. Meetings are held in various places around the region. These meetings are $25.00 for non-members and no additional fee for members.

  3. Do you have to be a member to attend the conference?
    No

  4. Can individuals (and not just companies) be members of the Coalition?
    Yes, Individual membership is $150.00 (students - $50.00) and entitles the member to attend luncheon meetings for no additional fee and to receive a discount at the annual conference.

  5. What are the benefits of Membership?
    Members can attend the monthly meetings for no additional fee and receive discounts on the annual conference and other events of the coalition. Corporate members may have a logo banner and link to their website from the BIO IT Coalition web site at www.bioitcoalition.org. In addition corporate members can send up to four individuals to meetings in any location, and may bring guests to meetings within the four allotted.

  8. How can I find out more about partnering in the BIO IT arena and how can it help my business grow?
    Partnering is an important element of the Coalition, in the sense that the Coalition is helping to develop between states, business entities and academic institutions.
  9. How do I become active in the BIO IT Coalition?
    Volunteers are needed to help with the following: Alliances, Conference, Communications and publicity, Programs, Tech Transfer, Students and volunteers

  10. I want to volunteer my time at the Annual Conference, what jobs are available?
    Volunteers are needed at the registration desk, to become speaker liaisons, to work on logistics before and during the conference and to work at booths for sponsors. Other jobs will become available. Please call Eileen Mandell @ 202-220-1402 or e-mail her at mandelle@pepperlaw.com
